About the role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following performing Contract Specialist work involving application of a master of knowledge of procurement regulations, contracting principles, and negotiation techniques to plan, develop, implement, maintain and administer all contractual aspects of an assigned acquisition program and to serve as a contractual authority and advisor on the acceptability and applicability of contractual matters related to an assigned acquisition program. Candidate must also have demonstrated expert application of managerial and administrative policies, practices, and techniques in order to lead/manage others. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Contribute to the planning, management and execution of a contracting and acquisition program; 2) Plan, develop, and establish the contractual strategy for complex/multi-million dollar acquisitions involving coordination of a number of contracts; 3) Utilize a full range of contracting methods and contract types to plan and carry out complex and long range pre-award and/or post-award contracting actions; 4) Perform the full range of contract administration duties for complex/high dollar contracts including issuance of contract modifications, negotiations of changes, investigations and resolution of contractor delays, disposition of claims, and close-out; 5) Lead and/or supervise a team of contracting personnel that contributes to an acquisition program.
