• In this role, You will drive high engineering standards engaging in peer design and code reviews, grooming sessions, etc

About the role

As an Front End Engineer at SmartBear, you will be working with internal teams around the globe to build the next generation of interconnected SmartBear applications and services. You can look forward to working with our best and brightest engineers, product managers, and UX folks to deliver meaningful centralized "Platform" services that are consumed by multiple product development teams.  

You will work collaboratively with PMs, UX, and peer engineering teams to drive business outcomes for SmartBear. 

• Drive high engineering standards engaging in peer design and code reviews, grooming sessions, etc.
• Make sure test coverage and code quality is in line with established guidelines
• Collaborate with teams of developers, testers, UX designers, product managers geographically spread across our different locations

We are looking for someone who :

• Experience with client-side software engineering in JavaScript(ES6), Typescript
• Highly proficient skills in ReactJS, Redux(or similar), Webpack, NodeJS
• Experience with one or more test automation frameworks(jest, cypress, etc..)
• English written and verbal communication skills on at least B2 level
• Experience with Next.js
• Work with an AWS serverless/lambda microservice architecture (TypeScript, Go, Java, or whatever language makes sense)
• Experience in high-volume SaaS applications on AWS
• Proficient in synchronous and asynchronous API design
• Experience with authentication/authorization specification and flows like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect
• Knowledge of design patterns and performance best practices
• Preferably having knowledge in security engineering and OWASP
