Kellanova is seeking a Key Account Executive to support the Away From Home Team. In this exciting role, you will manage customer relationships and deliver incremental sales and profit within multiple foodservice & vending segments including K-12, College/University, Healthcare, Business & Industry, & Commercial accounts.
As an integral part of the Kellanova Away From Home team, you’ll create sales solutions driven by consumer insights and maximize the growth strategy for your accounts—all while building your expertise and network.
This is a remote position and can be based in the Chicago, IL metropolitan area.
A Taste of What You Will Be Doing
- Development and Execute Business Plan – Oversee and create new business opportunities to enhance the Kellanova profile within the food service industry. Taking a data-driven approach, you will focus on void closures, white space opportunities, optimizing assortment, and upselling.
- Leading Sales Efforts – Strive to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations resulting in fostering loyalty, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving growth.
- Managing Budgets & Bids– Manage trade dollars within your budgets and execute customer-specific trade plans. By submitting accurate data, you’ll build precise customer profit and loss statements and analysis.
- Conduct Business Reviews and Provide Business Solutions – Conduct business reviews with top operators and distributors. This will involve providing business solutions grounded in fact-based category management, including consumer insights, industry trends, demographic information, and customer analysis.
- CRM – Use CRM to maintain accurate and frequent customer information and record all sales and call activity. Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify trends.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Significant account management experience
- Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans with a focus on customer communication and account penetration
- Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and strong financial acumen
- Analyze and interpret data (i.e. Nielsen / IRI)
- Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel overnight. Time may vary depending on the location of residency
