POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the Executive Director in the day-to-day functions of Commission Operations, with primary responsibilities of Surveillance, Gaming Inspectors, Compliance and Internal Audit. Maintains direct oversight of all Surveillance functions of the Agua Caliente Gaming Commission.

 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Works out of main Gaming Commission offices, but spends majority of working hours on casino properties. Also maintains an office at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage.
  • Addresses issues arising from Internal Control violations documented by Surveillance, Compliance and Internal Audit.
  • Identify and document reportable "incidents" (i.e. prohibited acts as set forth in Tribal Gaming Ordinance and internal controls of the gaming enterprise.
  • Responsible for identifying and coordinating training for Surveillance.
  • Maintains liaison with various casino departments as needed.
  • Maintains a constant line of communication with the Executive Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Reviews Surveillance resources at all times (both human and technical) to insure they are capable and competent to protect the integrity of the Tribe's Gaming operation.
  • Reviews for approval Surveillance and Inspectors written operations procedures, protocols and policies for Surveillance and inspectors' operations, gaming inspectors and compliance issues.
  • 'Establishes and maintains a daily review system of all reports and disseminates, critical information to concerned Commission departments and the Executive Director.

 

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS AND INFORMATION

Assess to all areas including but not limited to: Confidential reports, surveys, investigations, and financial information of the gaming operations conducted by the Tribe.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

The individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties in an exemplary manner, be skilled in both written and oral communication, and demonstrate initiative and leadership abilities.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

College degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required.

10 years practical experience in management of tribal gaming regulatory agencies/commission. Working experience of Surveillance Management, Gaming Inspectors and Compliance/Internal Audit.
