Job purpose

A Material Handler / Warehouse is responsible for transporting material or other goods in such a way as to allow the continuous flow of products throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Unload/Load trucks
  • Verify quantity loading/unloading is accurate
  • Ensure paperwork and labelling is correct
  • Scan parts for receipt/delivery as required
  • Stage material for put away/pickup
  • Reviews assembly build requirements
  • Picks and stages parts for delivery to the production areas in such a manner that ensures that the correct quantity of the part is delivered to the correct place
  • Delivers material from the warehouse to the production areas and vice versa
  • Provides support to the decant areas
  • Drives forklift or operates other power equipment to transport a variety of materials, parts, or products
  • Use SAP to put away parts and to pick them from warehouse locations
  • Notifies supervisor regarding inventory shortages/discrepancies
  • Stacks materials in designated area
  • Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures
  • Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection, and investigation findings) and their corrective actions
  • Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies
  • Perform other duties as needed

What we’re looking for

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Licensed to operate forklift
  • Must have previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Minimum of two years of related experience supporting manufacturing operations
  • Must be computer literate and can perform basic MS Windows / SAP operating tasks
  • Attendance on the job is essential
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations
