Overview – The Maintenance Electrical Specialist is an experienced electrical minded individual who excels at planning, sourcing parts and materials, managing contractor resources, and assisting in troubleshooting controls systems and components.

  • Job Duties:
    • Comply with all company and site policies and procedures. 
    • Assist controls technicians and engineers in troubleshooting electrical system problems such as:
      • Level probes
      • Gauges
      • SIS control systems
      • ISO 9000 validations
      • Metering
      • Valve controls
      • Other instrumentation and/ or controls systems
    • Manage and direct contract labor for troubleshooting, maintenance, or installation of instrumentation and controls systems and equipment.
    • Create and manage work scopes for contractor tasks
    • Source and procure parts and materials as required for work
    • Act as fast response planner for emergent work.
  • Required knowledge:
    • Ability to read and update (red line) electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, control diagrams, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
    • Knowledge of analyzers
    • Knowledge of scales
    • Knowledge of programming instruments
    • Knowledge of PLC hardware
    • Knowledge of electrical safety requirements
    • Knowledge of troubleshooting controls and instrumentation
    • Experience with SAP
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Physical Requirements: 
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach and lift with hands and arms and to talk or hear.
      • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. 
      • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. 
      • The employee is required to ascend/descend ladders or steps.
