Junior Video Editor – Social & Ad Content

This is a remote position.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Sydney, with 30-minute unpaid break (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be responsible for editing and managing both client ad creatives and SSO internal brand videos — from content ideation to polished delivery.
Your Core Responsibilities:

Edit short-form videos for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Create UGC-style ads, Reels, Shorts, and brand content that convert.

Edit both internal SSO content (training, brand, thought leadership) and client campaign videos.

Process and select A-roll and B-roll footage for each project.

Follow storyboards, creative briefs, and scripts provided by our Creative Strategist.

Build reusable intro/outro templates, transitions, and branded assets.

Export platform-ready formats (vertical, square, 4:5, etc.) for ad delivery.

Collaborate closely with the Creative Strategist and Client Account Managers for feedback, alignment, and iteration.

Report directly to the Operations Manager , ensuring deadlines and workflows are maintained.

Maintain and organise both internal and client content vaults — keeping footage, edits, and brand assets structured and accessible.

Liaise with Account Managers to ensure each brand’s visual direction and messaging stays consistent.
You’ll Thrive Here If You:

Have basic editing experience in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
Are eager to master CapCut Pro (we’ll train you).
Understand or want to learn how to edit for ads that convert and social that connects.
Love structure — but also bring your own creative ideas to the table.
Can work independently, meet deadlines, and stay calm under pressure.
Communicate clearly and take feedback well.

1–2 years’ experience editing short-form or ad-style videos.

Portfolio or showreel showcasing social-first content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts).

Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual engagement.

Organisational skills for managing multiple projects and asset libraries.

Passion for learning about performance marketing and eCommerce.
Nice-to-Haves
-
Experience editing eCommerce or DTC brand content.
-
Knowledge of UGC editing or influencer content.
-
Basic understanding of ad metrics (CTR, ROAS, retention).

Familiarity with creative testing frameworks.
-
Experience using Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs) .
-
Comfortable with Slack , ClickUp , and Zoom for communication and task management.
