FieldCore is looking for an exceptional Control Systems Field Engineer and Technical Field Advisor to join our Field Operations team based in Germany. As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy. Let’s Talk about the Role As a Technical Field Advisor for Controls, you manage controls activities on site during the Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of heavy-duty turbines/equipment (generator or mechanical drive). You will be responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labour, tools and materials. How You Will Make a Difference:
- Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards
- Actively manage controls activities on site during Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, PLCs and other GE provided controls systems (MKVIe, MKVI, MKV, ..etc.)
- Read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID)
- Provide timely and accurate internal and external reports
- Provide expert consultation on complex projects
- Provide customers with technical direction and support on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) packaged products
- Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments
- Strong computer skills with the ability to understand and implement controls software
- Have the knowledge and skill to actively support field service activities and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
- Have experience working on successful installations and be trained on Mark VI, Mark Vie, Mark V controls systems
