More than 300 employees are part of this team.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Terneuzen production site is the Dow’s second largest manufacturing site in the globe and the largest in Europe. LHC-1 and LHC-2 went into operation in 1970, and LHC-3 has been operating since 2000. The crackers convert naphtha (crude oil) and LPG into ethylene, propylene, benzene and butadiene. These four chemicals are the most important raw materials in all of Dow’s production processes to produce plastics and other derivative materials.</span></p><p></p><p><span>LHC's vision is to </span><span>b</span><span>ecome the Hydrocarbons safest, most reliable and most competitive asset of the fleet with continuous improvement on feedstock flexibility and sustainability.</span></p><p></p><p><span>As Senior EH&amp;S technician for the LHC area, you share responsibility for the implementation of the EH&amp;S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. You provide hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&amp;S) activities for the LHC area. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical and operational processes and procedures, full proficiency on Life Critical Standards (LCS) and the other EH&amp;S standards.</span></p><p></p><p><span>This role is going to be part of the LHC EH&amp;S team and will provide the EH&amp;S knowledge, expertise and support on the day-to-day activities for one of the crackers within the Hydrocarbons area.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Implement detailed, task level, day to day EH&amp;S programs, utilizing the EH&amp;S work process, standards and procedures.</span></li><li><span>Ensure that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&amp;S performance goals.</span></li><li><span>Act as the Plant resource for related EH&amp;S information on procedures, guidelines and standards for the given LHC area.</span></li><li><span>Serve as plant contact for Environmental, Health and Safety issues for the given LHC area and assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&amp;S goals.</span></li><li><span>Coach teams and individuals on EH&amp;S related tasks and activities.</span></li><li><span>Perform/coordinate certain EH&amp;S monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant and ensures compliance tasks are completed.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Completion of technical MBO 4 or a bachelor in related field plus EH&amp;S, manufacturing or other related experience. </span></li><li><span>Fluency in the Dutch and English language is preferred.</span></li><li><span>EH&amp;S experience and/or MVK diploma will be preferred.</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Benefits – What Dow offers you </b></p><p>We invest in you. </p><p>Dow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.  You bring your background, talent and perspective to work every day.
