EquipmentShare is searching for a Senior Accountant to add to the Accounting & Financial Reporting team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, employee-minded company. EquipmentShare offers a flexible work arrangement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Play a role in establishing new accounting policies, internal controls and procedures to address emerging areas associated with the growth of our business.
  • Use formulas, pivot tables and macros to manage and report data accordingly. 
  • Assist with accounting research perform account reconciliations and analyses to ensure the general ledger accounts are accurate and complete.
  • Perform month end closing responsibilities (e.g., revenue recognition, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounting for branch operations and dealership operations, etc.).
  • Communicate across various departments to create and maintain efficient workflows and processes.
  • Evaluate process flows of information for key business processes, identifying the systems, risks, key reports used, and relevant internal controls from initiation to recording of transactions.
  • Diagnose opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of various accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline processes, design new workflows when needed, implement new systems, and train new team members.
  • Work with the team (including Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer) on strategic initiatives, such as IT system implementations, diagnosing and implementing internal control enhancements, integrating recent business acquisitions, and more.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA is required.
  • Have at least 3 years of public accounting experience.
  • Inventory or fixed asset accounting experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate (orally and in writing) accounting policies and procedures.
  • Strong Excel, Google Sheet, or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Experience with various financial reporting systems, including Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
  • Process focused and detail-oriented individual who strives for accuracy.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient multi-tasker.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
