The Senior Operations Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of hourly manufacturing employees and driving daily repair operations. In this role, you'll manage activities on the repair floor, ensuring smooth coordination and scheduling across departmental functions (operations, contracts, engineering, materials, and quality). You'll also play a key role in workforce development—coaching team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

What You Will Do 

  • Lead and manage repair operations, including shop floor execution, workforce planning, and disruption management. 

  • Handle all supervisory responsibilities, including time & attendance, performance management, training, communication, disciplinary actions, and work scheduling. 

  • Coach and mentor employees to build technical skills, leadership capabilities, and career development. 

  • Promote and drive best practice sharing and innovation across the shop floor. 

  • Use performance data and key metrics to identify and implement process improvements. 

  • Create and continuously improve standard work documentation aligned to business and customer needs. 

  • Proactively address risks and performance trends through robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes. 

  • Lead or actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) / CORE events and initiatives. 

  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement actions to achieve measurable savings. 

  • Develop and maintain a workforce plan ensuring adequate headcount, skill levels, and ongoing training and development. 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Global Trade requirements. 

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience 

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • Experience managing teams in a repair or manufacturing environment. 

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including performance development and workforce planning. 

  • Proven ability to build team capability through coaching, mentoring, and training. 

  • Background in driving continuous improvement using CORE, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar methodologies. 

  • Skilled in using performance metrics and root cause tools (e.g., RCCA) to improve processes. 

  • Experience leading or participating in CI/Kaizen events. 

  • Ability to identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives. 

  • Familiarity with EHS, Quality, and Global Trade compliance in an operational setting.
