The Manager, Enterprise Phlebotomy Operations, is responsible for leading Guardant’s enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations, including vendor management, patient navigation operations, workflow execution, and mobile phlebotomy financial performance.
This role oversees nationwide mobile phlebotomy vendors and Patient Navigation Supervisors to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality patient access services. This is a newly created role with the mandate to design and build Guardant’s enterprise mobile phlebotomy operating model — the vendor scorecards, cost tracking, reporting cadence, and standards that will scale the program nationwide. You’ll be establishing the systems and processes from the ground up, not stepping into an established playbook.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations, including vendor performance, workflow execution, and patient access support.
- Manage nationwide phlebotomy vendor relationships, contracting, onboarding, service-level performance, and operational escalations.
- Oversee Oncology Patient Navigator (OPN) workflow operations and scheduling performance.
- Drive operational standardization, workflow optimization, and service-level accountability across enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations.
- Own mobile phlebotomy cost-of-goods (COGs) tracking, forecasting, budget management, invoice reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, accruals, budget planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor and improve operational and financial KPIs, including cost per collection, redraws, no-show rates, utilization, and vendor SLA performance.
- Manage purchase orders, invoice validation, vendor audits, and operational reporting processes.
- Build and maintain operational and financial reporting dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues, improve patient experience, and support enterprise initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, privacy, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, vendor management, patient services, diagnostics operations, or related operational leadership roles.
- Have personally built and owned a program’s cost-of-goods (COGs) tracking — the model, the forecast, and the varian
