Software Engineer - Loan Accounting Systems

OneMain Financial is a successful and fast growing financial services company. Due to company growth, OneMain is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team.  Liaison between IT development staff and Quality Assurance departments supporting business initiatives and ensuring appropriate testing of solutions.

• This role is responsible for executing duties within a project.

• Develop and maintain software, processes, and scripts

• Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of application test environments and troubleshoots problems

• Maintain appropriate position, department and application documentation

General Skills:

• 2-3 Years of software engineering experience

• Understands basic software engineering principles, design patterns, and methods.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with mainframe batch processing

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work with a variety of cross-functional teams within our organization

• Skills and experience with JCL, CA-7, DB2, SQL, COBOL and Easytrieve preferred

• Eager to work in a highly collaborative, team-based, dynamic environment.

• Enthusiastically embraces continuous learning and growth.

• BS degree in a computer related field
