Description
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a two-year term contract with the possibility of renewal appointment beginning in Fall 2025. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. We welcome candidates with any research and teaching specialization within psychology, but we have specific needs in the areas of developmental psychology, social psychology, statistics, and research methods. Our energetic faculty teach a lively laboratory-based curriculum embedded within a natural science perspective. Our innovative curriculum enables exploration of the boundaries and interdisciplinary potentials of the discipline. Modern teaching laboratories, including a free-standing preschool laboratory and a behavioral neuroscience suite, provide the venues for authentic investigations. The teaching load is five courses over two semesters. The successful candidates will teach some combination of introductory psychology, research methods and/or statistics, and intermediate and advanced courses in their area of specialization. In addition, successful candidates will mentor and engage students in authentic research projects.
