Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Aerospace Defense & Marine Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:
• Working within our Aerospace, Defense & Marine – Rugged Fiber Optic (RFO) development and Relays teams.
• Gaining front facing experience with internal customers (Product Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, Project Management) and external customers.
• Developing communication skills while working with cross-functional product launch teams.
Responsibilities
At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
• Utilize CAD/solid modeling software to develop product concepts
• Work with and create product documentation including drawings, specifications, tolerance analysis, test plans & reports
• Utilize Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Utilize Strong problem-solving skills
• Review customer drawings and develop bill of materials
• Initiate Engineering Changes to improve designs or respond to customer requests
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Have earned a high school diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
• No prior internship experience required.
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.
