</div><div>Reports to: KH Program Manager Project: Kid Healthy<br><br>

</div><div><br></div><div>SUMMARY:<br><br>
</div><div>The Kid Healthy SPORTS™ Field Mentor is the school site representative for Kid Healthy and our partners. The Field Mentor serves as a direct communicator to advance the mission and goals of Kid Healthy within the school and school community. The Field Mentor is responsible for maintaining program equipment, delivering Social Emotional Learning (SEL) focused mentorship, and successful implementation of sports-based programs of Kid Healthy.<br><br>

</div><div>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br><br>
</div><div>● Communicates effectively and courteously with all contacts. Works well with diverse people.<br><br>
</div><div>● Maintains current knowledge of and complies with organizational and department policies and procedures.<br><br>
</div><div>● Meets all applicable safety requirements for the position and work environment including prompt injury reporting.<br><br>
</div><div>● Organizes workload to meet project timelines and deadlines. Minimizes time spent on personal calls and matters. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements, reports time and attendance accurately.<br><br>
</div><div>● Uses skill and judgment to ensure program objectives are met efficiently.<br><br>
</div><div>● Supports the vision and goals of Kid Healthy.<br><br>

</div><div>POSITION FUNCTIONS:<br><br>
</div><div>● Stay up to date on CASL: SEL updates & practices<br><br>
</div><div>● Maintain a positive playing environment for the participants<br><br>
</div><div>● Plan and execute effective sports based & physical activities during designated recess time.<br><br>
</div><div>● Follow program goals and participate in the monitoring and evaluation process.<br><br>
</div><div>● Document successes and challenges faced after each program<br><br>
</div><div>● Submit a Student Spotlight story to Program Manager on a monthly basis<br><br>
</div><div>● Submit a monthly report to each school administrator of programs assigned<br><br>
</div><div>● Care for and be responsible for program equipment assigned<br><br>
</div><div>● Lead programming at a variety of sites and with a variety of partners<br><br>
</div><div>● Maintain ongoing professional relationships with community partners, staff, and parents.<br><br>
</div><div>● Attendance and participation at monthly staff meetings with program manager.<br><br>
</div><div>● Active participation in training and education of Field Mentor position.<br><br>
</div><div>● Have a passion for working with children, and the development of the whole child.<br><br>
</div><div>● Support the continued growth of Kid Healthy SPORT™ program, including participation of new school sites.<br><br>
</div><div>● Other duties as assigned.<br><br>

</div><div>COMMUNITY RELATIONS:<br><br>
</div><div>Participate in community collaborations, partnerships, and networking organizations that enhance and expand the scope of Kid Healthy – SPORT™, as time allows.<br><br>
</div><div> <br><br>
</div><div>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:<br><br>
</div><div>● High School Diploma is helpful but not required.<br><br>
</div><div>● Sports background: has been on a team or coaching experience is helpful but not required.<br><br>
</div><div>● Ability to speak, read and write Spanish as well as English is helpful for future growth but not required to be a Field Mentor.<br><br>
