Who We Are Looking For

We're searching for a highly driven, detail-oriented, and experienced commercial construction expert who possesses the entrepreneurial spirit to lead and significantly grow this services business. This role requires a hands-on approach to strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership.

Essential Qualifications

• Industry Leadership: 10+ years of comprehensive experience in the commercial general contracting industry, with a proven track record of managing and delivering construction projects, ideally including finish carpentry or millwork.

• Operational Excellence: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with all aspects of commercial construction, including project bidding, scheduling, budget management, subcontractor coordination, and quality assurance.

• Business Development Acumen: Demonstrated success in client relationship management, securing new commercial projects, contract negotiation, and a strong ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

• Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and motivating construction teams and managing relationships with subcontractors, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring project success.

• Financial & Business Management: Significant experience in small business management, including budgeting, financial analysis, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning to maximize profitability within a construction context.

• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices for both general contracting and finish carpentry.

• Regulatory Understanding: A solid understanding of local building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), licensing requirements, and permitting processes relevant to commercial construction in Minnesota.
