POSITION

Accounts Payable Coordinator 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and research discrepancies.
  • Research and respond to accounts payable inquiries regarding invoice payment.  
  • Prepare analysis and summaries of accounts if needed.  
  • Monitor accounts payable invoices and ensure payments are processed accurately and timely.
  • Support audit requests.
  • Monitor FedEx accounts, obtain approvals and coding if needed, enter into SAP.
  • Obtain approvals and coding, enter and reconcile monthly utility, rents, telecom accounts.  
  • Expeditor invoice entry, daily entry of Expeditor bank drafts and logging to the spreadsheet.
  • Weekly UPS accounts reconcile and pull the invoices to send to Genpact for entry into Cora.
  • Assisting Genpact with inquiries and working the Cora queue.
  • Assist in Monthly Accounts Payable Closing activities.
  • Support AP team in reviewing and posting invoice entries.
  • Perform other accounting clerical duties such as handling mail for AP, answering vendor calls.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, at least four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working for a multinational manufacturing company or Corporate/Global Finance Group. Strong work ethic and a team player. Knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems, and accounting, database, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, word processing and email software. Experience in SAP is a must. Purchase Order knowledge is a must. Concur experience is a plus.
  • Other: Organized, efficient, experienced with SAP and Purchase Order reconciliation, proficient in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.), ability to meet deadlines, clear communication skills, learn quickly and attention to detail.
