POSITION AVAILABLE: Plumbing Tester

LOCATION: Athens, TX

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager

Summary: Under General supervision, work on the production line, as part of a team, to test and ensure proper completion of the plumbing components of manufactured housing, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Conducts visual and air pressure tests on water lines
• Installs exterior water faucets
• Conducts visual inspections of drain lines
• Conducts flood and fixture tests
• Responsible for 'closing up' all access locations in the bottom board and reconnection of water heater after testing is complete
• Responsible for completing a testing checklist for each floor
• Responsible for cleaning up after the job is complete
• Responsible for ensuring all data accumulated on a daily basis is turned into the QA office
• Additional job duties as required and assigned
• Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems within compliance of company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of plumbing functions
• Ability to physically work under houses and use a creeper
• Ability to climb ladders and work on top of homes
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Knowledge and ability to use computer/laptop, copy machines and printers comfortably is a plus
• Must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policies
• Must be able to multitask and consistently follow best practices when making inspections
