As the Senior Systems Administrator (6-month contract), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Recursion's core IT systems and applications. Your expertise will directly influence the success of key business initiatives. By managing critical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll help maintain system stability, drive process improvements, and ensure the seamless integration of applications across the organization. In this role, you will: 

• Systems Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain the performance of enterprise systems (e.g., servers, databases, networked applications) to ensure high availability and optimal functionality.
• Application Support: Provide expert-level support for critical business applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Incident Management: Respond to system-related issues, ensure swift resolution, and minimize disruption to business operations.
• Project Support: Collaborate with the IT team to support key projects.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, consultants, and key business stakeholders to ensure systems and applications meet business needs.

This position is based at our headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote work is also an option.

The Experience You’ll Need

• Enterprise System Administration: Expertise in managing, monitoring, and optimizing enterprise-level systems (e.g., servers, databases, virtualized environments).
• Application Management: Proficiency in supporting and configuring business-critical applications such as SharePoint, Office 365, and cloud-based platforms.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud resources.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience ensuring systems meet regulatory compliance standards.
• Scripting & Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
