As part of the Manufacturing Innovation & Technology (MIT) team within Medtronic’s Operations Innovation organization, the Sr. Engineering Manager, integrated Center of Excellence (iCOE) Polymer Shaping & Molding (PSM), leads an integrated team advancing polymer molding, micro-molding, and additive polymer manufacturing technologies from concept through scalable deployment. This role drives both hands-on technology development and enterprise manufacturing strategy, overseeing feasibility, process development, and transfer into manufacturing and NPI while defining long-term investment and capability roadmaps. In close partnership with R&D, R&T, AME, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, the Sr. Manager ensures the delivery of compliant, scalable, and high-impact manufacturing solutions, translating innovation into measurable operational value through a team of technical SMEs and strategic leaders.

Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing manufacturing technologies.
Guides the conceptualization of new manufacturing methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of manufacturing technology research and development.
Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
