Job Description:
The Head of Enterprise Non-Trading Market Risk is accountable for leading and developing the liquidity risk management strategy for the enterprise, which includes Implementing polices, practices, and procedures to ensure governance and statutory compliance.
Depth & Scope:
Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Accountable for the monitoring assessment, and effective challenge of Non-Trading Market Risk through the identification, understanding, control and ongoing review of these risks
Accountable for leading and developing the Non-Trading Market Risk management strategy for the enterprise, which includes Implementing polices, practices, and procedures to ensure governance and statutory compliance
Oversees enterprise, ad hoc risk and compliance programs [e.g., Governance Frameworks] ensuring enterprise-wide application of appropriate findings, identified issues are escalated as necessary, and that appropriate reporting is provided on a timely basis to Senior Management and/or the Board
Drives and builds enterprise Risk Management reporting and Risk dashboard functions to proactively monitor, measure, and report on key risk factors to track effectiveness. Provides appropriate decision support and escalation to Risk Management leadership team and/or other stakeholders
Provides adjudication on risk escalations and memos on Risk items
Continuous review of all processes/procedures/controls to ensure that the business, control and infrastructure functions are meeting the organization's requirements with respect to effective risk management
Has an international mandate with accountability over our four Non-Trading Market Risk books: US, Canada, London UK & Singapore
Maintains effective working relationships between all areas of Risk Management, Treasury Balance Sheet and Management, Regulators, Government Affairs, Legal, and Compliance
Ensures regulatory and risk issues are managed effectively and communicated through appropriate governance bodies and channels
Partners closely with key LOB leaders, risk leaders, and other senior managers in optimizing effectiveness and efficiency of necessary risk management controls and processes for their respective business units
Regular engagement with other 2B functions (regulatory Risk and Regulatory compliance teams; Enterprise Risk management engagement and operational resilience assessments; issues management framework)
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate or Masters degree in a qualified or related field
15+ years of experience in Treasury, Risk Management, Audit
