About the role

  • Job Summary:   Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and insurance information after sample are processed in laboratory. Assure 100% accuracy with regards to content and spelling. Organize cases by type and ready for daily filing. Requires outreach to customers/clinics to validate incomplete information.  

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
    • Processes customer and insurance source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
    • Enters customer and insurance data after samples are processed by laboratory.
    • Double check their work and assure all data is in the case correctly.
    • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
    • Verifies entered customer and insurance data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
    • Contacts customer/clinic directly to validate incomplete information.
    • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
    • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Prepares requisitions to be filed daily.
    • Other duties as assigned by Management.
    • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
    • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
    • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence, Analyzing Information, Results Driven, Energy Level, At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Required- High School Diploma- GED
    • Preferred Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Healthcare, Marketing, or Business related field
    • At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Duties are typically performed in an office setting. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote USA$15.38$19.23 USD
