GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Environmental Service Worker is responsible for housekeeping services at the Ella Besaw Center. Will work under the direct supervision of the Ella Besaw Center Facilities Manager.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification:
1. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated on job description.
3. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
4. Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
5. Must obtain and maintain Elder/Youth License as stated on job description.
DUTIES:
1. Cleans all spaces of the Ella Besaw Center to include resident rooms, shared rooms, offices, and other spaces. Daily cleaning includes vacuuming, sweeping, garbage disposal, mopping, laundry, and cleaning of bathrooms.
2. Responsible or cleaning of resident rooms on a scheduled basis.
3. Responsible for keeping ashtrays and wastebaskets empty and clean. Remove trash to dumpsters.
4. Will replace lightbulbs when needed.
5. Stock maintenance room and bathrooms with paper products.
6. Replenish cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance supplies as needed. Notifies supervisor when items need to be reordered.
7. Respond to and complete work order requests.
8. Properly handle and document incoming and outgoing deliveries as needed.
9. Utilize a daily check off system for monitoring daily routine and non-routine housekeeping tasks.
10. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
11. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
12. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
13. May be required to complete maintenance tasks.
14. Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
2. Must have housekeeping work experience.
3. Must be a courteous and friendly individual. Must be able to work with the general public in a professional manner.
4. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
5. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
6. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-dressed appearance at all times.
7. Must be willing to handle hazardous chemicals safely.
8. Organizational, planning, and reading skills required.
9. Must be able to comprehend material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) information.
10. Position requires walking, bending, lifting and carrying. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position. Must lift to 40 pounds.
11. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
12. Must have zero drug related offenses within the last five years on criminal background check.
13. Ability to multi-task effectively
14. Must pass pre-employment drug and health screening. Must adhere to the Tribe’s Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
15. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer’s liability insurance.
16. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
17. Must submit and pass a background security check to meet the Elder/Youth License Requirement as it pertains to the position and the location of the department prior to and during the course of employment with the Stockbridge-Munsee Community.
18. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver’s license. Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance.
19. Must abide by departmental and organizational safety, testing, and uniform guidelines.
