Job Summary
The Senior Photographer is the primary resource and subject matter expert for the photography function and oversees all creative and photography needs for the KEEN photo media studio. This role establishes and directs the company and partners product detail page (PDP) and creative studio photography. The Sr. Photographer is responsible for strategic planning, shooting, and editing media studio and campaign brand photos, and working in collaboration with the photo retouching team to deliver photography assets. This role leads collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and production teams to meet tight timelines and ensure content guidelines are met according to brand specifications.
Essential Functions
• Oversees all aspects of photo shoots. Including PDP, product laydowns, 360s, creative product photos, on body/lookbooks, studio walkthroughs, corporate events, and specialty shoots.
• Critical photo studio involvement in final line close and product detail page shoot requirements.
• Works with photo studio project manager, helps manage photo resources including contractors, equipment rentals, photography assistants, stylists, hmu, lighting/digitech, etc.
• Identifies, manages, and helps coordinate retouching as needed.
• Determines lighting and exposure requirements needed to produce quality images
• Selects photo shoot locations that support product aesthetic.
• Collaborates with stylists or other members of the creative team to produce work that is on-trend and reflects the aesthetic of the organization.
• Ensures photography work meets creative expectations and requirements and is delivered according to the deadlines. Communicates time estimates, photo needs and resourcing requirements to the rest of the department.
• Responsible for tracking the usage of and maintenance of photo studio equipment.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent level of education. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education/experience with a photography focus is preferred.
• Eight (8) years of relevant photo studio experience with five (5) years of experience working as a principal photographer in a high-quality photography studio.
• Documented experience working closely with trafficking retouching process.
• Well versed in all studio functions including intake, equipment, lighting, retouching, and processing.
• Expert level knowledge of camera equipment.
• Expert level knowledge of lighting equipment.
• Expert level knowledge of photography software.
Travel Required: Yes, up to 10% of work time will involve travel
Base Salary: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
