As a member of the Editorial team, you will spend each day immersed in the private markets, aiming to help our customers be better investors, advisors, and market participants. The work you will do plays a direct role in the evolution of the industry!

PitchBook’s Lead Analyst, Fund Strategies leads a team of analysts within our Institutional Research Group. As a valued team member, you’ll hone your existing analytical skills, develop meaningful insights into a fascinating industry, and contribute to our best-in-class private capital research. The research this team produces is utilized by many of the largest private capital investors, investment banks, and service providers globally. Our team is creative, driven, and focused on providing the most actionable research to our readers and clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee team of analysts conducting research and analysis covering fundraising and performance trends in private markets, with an ability to write at a high level about private fund strategies across asset classes
- Establish research frameworks to provide independent commentary, evaluations, and forecasts around our primary coverage areas, while identifying unique themes that may impact private markets
- Establish a steady pipeline of research production and ensure publishing schedules are maintained
- Work with the team to develop innovative research reports that leverage our data sets and/or other external sources to provide clients with valuable perspectives and insights relevant to their workflows
- Lead cross-department collaboration including development of IP, public relations and speaking engagement activity, sales enablement and support, and product innovation
- Manage research distribution channels, including newsletters, email distribution lists, and in-platform research library and develop strategies to improve distribution processes
- Work closely with data analysts to identify unique datasets and/or improve existing data methodologies to support research
- Develop and manage relationships with both client and non-client industry professionals to help support primary research efforts
- Manage and respond to inquiries from clients, press, internal colleagues, and the general public regarding published research
- Conduct quarterly and annual team performance reviews
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
