This position is responsible for administrative coordination and hourly recruiting for Ferguson’s largest distribution center in Front Royal, VA.

JOB OBJECTIVE:  Responsible for administrative coordination and hourly recruiting for large distribution center, pipe yard and fabrication facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.  
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports utilizing Excel, Word, Workday, Indeed, and/or Power Point applications
  • Responsible for fulfilling all hourly recruiting including posting jobs internally/externally, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, job offers, pre-hire steps for example.
  • Responsible for conducting new hire orientation and onboarding
  • Coordinate with safety, operations, and training regarding integrating new hires
  • Maintains the communication boards and regulatory posters
  • Handles various customer service inquiries from branches and direct customers
  • Coordinate resolution of customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinate tours of the DC
  • Plans and coordinates monthly associate appreciation events as well as special events and holiday events.
  • Ordering of office and work supplies, uniforms, and some services
  • Handles the front office facilities and supplies, phone coverage
  • Serves as reception for visitors and guests to the facility
  • Process outgoing mail, inbound mail distribution and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and physical files
  • Assist associates with requests and problem resolution as needed
  • Direct incoming phone calls to appropriate party and handle inquiries
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reservations as needed
  • Assist with other responsibilities as directed

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, ensuring quality customer service

  • Work overtime as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 3 years office administration experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience recruiting for non-exempt positions
  • Intermediate ability with MS Office applications, Outlook, and HRIS
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in duties
  • Demonstrated professional skills, highly organized and self-motivated

  • Demonstrate commitment and flexibility in service
  • Perform duties with a positive approach and teamwork

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting smaller objects constantly; 10 pound objects frequently and 20 to 30 pound objects occasionally
  • Vision: minimum vision required to prevent injury from oneself and others
  • Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds with or without correction
  • Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word    

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory, including arriving at the time scheduled by the manager daily.
