Position Summary:
The primary role of the Financial Control Accountant is to maintain subsidiary ledgers and account for transactional fees for our futures commission merchant business. Areas of responsibility includes broker commission payouts, exchange transaction fees, carrying broker commission and fee expense, execution brokerage revenue and expense, and direct fixed trading costs. The Financial Control Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager to maximize development, learning and departmental efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accounting and settlement of broker payouts and other transactional expenses
- Support development of new commission payout processing system
- Calculate monthly payouts using existing Access Database or new commission payout system
- Maintain database of exchange, clearing, and NFA fees under the direction of the Accounting Manager
- Prepare monthly transactional expense accrual accounting entry and related entries
- Prepare daily and monthly account reconciliations
- Other general accounting tasks
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the futures industry or similar as an accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 – 3 years accounting experience
- Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00
