Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinical operations and the delivery of excellent patient services.

How you will make an impact

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Take vital signs, record patient information, and update medical records accurately
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures when necessary
• Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure that patient information is complete and up to date
• Assist in coding and billing procedures as required
• Greet patients in a professional and compassionate manner
• Answer patient inquiries and provide information on medical procedures and appointments
• Prepare and educate patients on any necessary pre-appointment instructions
• Collect blood samples and other specimens for laboratory testing
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens to maintain accuracy and integrity
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary clinical environment
• Sterilize medical instruments and equipment as needed
• Ensure that medical equipment is in proper working condition
• Manage inventory and restock medical supplies as necessary

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Active certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Experience working with people who have a history of substance use disorder
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic workplace
• Ability to work in person
• CPR certification
• Ability to work both weekday and weekend shifts
• This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment
• This role may need to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and move patients or equipment
