As a Finance and Strategy - Global Growth & Engagement Associate with Nextdoor, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) (100% Telecommuting permitted) you’ll:  

  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Revenue, and Accounting to translate business platform into strategic recommendations.
  • Utilize knowledge of key product drivers to conduct research, analysis and business modeling to help cross-functional partners make financially sound and growth-focused investment decisions.
  • Apply mathematical/statistical modeling and other optimizing methods to support decision making, including but not limited to projects on member behavior economics, LTV/ROI of product initiatives, and competitive landscape benchmarking.
  • Build and execute core operational processes, such as metrics reporting, user engagement forecasting, and goal setting.
  • Develop and maintain financial and operational metrics dashboards and reports using data systems and visualization tools, and leverage this data to surface key insights at all levels of the company (business partner, executive, board).
  • Build and  execute  core  operational  processes,  such  as  metrics  reporting,  user  growth and engagement forecasting, and tracking the impact of product initiatives.
  • Interrogate the data and make required extractions to guide product strategy.

What You’ll Bring to The House

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or closely related quantitative discipline.
  • One (1) year of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in the position offered or as a Product/Marketing Analyst, Banking/Finance Analyst, or closely related position.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the following: Utilizing data analysis tools to retrieve and analyze financial data for advanced statistical analysis, business forecasting, performance reporting, and decision support; Utilizing data analysis tools to conduct data mining, analysis, manipulation and modeling of data sets; Performing statistical analysis for developing models and validating test designs to optimize business/strategy development; Performing financial analysis and valuation to support new product/service development and initiatives; Analyzing customer data to drive future growth and strategies; Utilizing predictive analytics to predict behavior and customize targeting strategies; Utilizing advanced MS Excel Functions, including VBA coding, Pivot Tables, and Power Point, to present project reports and recommendations to leadership teams; and Experience using data analysis skills to manipulate large data sets to uncover and visualize hidden insights in core data.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $121,600 - $167,200/year on an annualized basis. 

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
