What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking a proven B2B Product Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team. The ideal candidate enjoys the technical side of product marketing in electric power or alternative energy markets, possesses excellent communication and prioritization skills, and thrives in a fast paced, early market environment.
You will be the product marketing owner and subject matter expert for our commercial software and services portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for global positioning / messaging, audience definition, and launch / lifecycle marketing strategy for our software portfolio globally.
If you are an enthusiastic communicator who can bring best-in-class product marketing techniques to ChargePoint, this is the role for you. You must be highly collaborative in your approach, able to generate high-impact ideas, clearly prioritize projects, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive them to completion. To succeed in this role, you will be required to develop strong working relationships and work cross-functionally within the global marketing team, and with our partners in product, sales, and sales enablement among others.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Own product positioning and messaging and create a compelling narrative and value propositions for our commercial software and services solutions
- Define and manage development of high-impact marketing tools and collaterals such as data sheets, brochures, fact sheets, pitch decks, competitive battlecards, web page content, white papers, and product training
- Execute integrated marketing plans and strategies for products and customer segments
- Develop solution specific materials that are audience-centric and vertically relevant
- Define the GTM strategy and execute the global product launch of new products and services. Ensure new product launches and initiatives are aligned to drive shared outcomes
- Build deep market insights by segment to better understand customer pain points and derive customer insights. Help to define market requirements for additional product capabilities and features
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree. Technical degree and / or MBA a plus
- 7+ years of B2B technology and hardware product marketing experience
- Skilled in translating complex product offerings into simple messaging that will help drive sales
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding of buyer’s journey stages, persona development and audience segmentation
- Demonstrated ability to define GTM strategy and define product launches
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results
- Passion for emerging markets, the EV space and associated trends
- Strong organizational skills, ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
