IT Operations Manager

Under the general direction of the CIO, provides technical oversight and management of technical services team supporting the EHR application team, Interfaces, Data extraction, consumption, ingestion, migration etc. This includes staff responsible for server operations, data conversion and interface, Epic technical management responsibilities and other duties as assigned. These positions may or may not report directly. This position works collaboratively with EHR Executive Director and EPIC teams (both internal and external).
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Care Informatics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience – Three to Five years of progressively responsible IT experience with a demonstrated track record of project execution and program management. Experience with EPIC preferred. Experience in workflow analysis and design, process improvement, or human centered design is preferred. Experience managing vendors in the healthcare IT space is ideal.
Licensure/Certification – EPIC, PMP, or similar certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven success with managing multiple projects and experience in process management or continuous improvement. Must have proficiency with MS Office applications and the proven ability to execute multi-Platform Integrated Solutions (HL7 Standards). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to communicate with both application and technical team members. Process and detail oriented. Assertive and able to hold team members accountable for following established policy and procedure. Strong organizational skills. Advanced skill with spreadsheets, database and application development strongly preferred.
