Director, Forensic Engineer

The Opportunity:
HKA is seeking a variety of Forensic Engineers including but not limited to Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil and more. Ideal candidates will bring a lengthy Engineering career as well as extensive experience in litigation, expert reports and expert testimony.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Investigate Failures, Collect Evidence, Conduct Simulations for client projects
- Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations and apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards.
- Provide signed and sealed detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage to clients.
- Manage multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within required time frames.
- Communicate with administrative staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; preferably Master's or above
- Professional Engineer license required
- 8+ Years' experience in hands-on Forensic Engineering Consulting including all responsibilities related to Expert Reporting and Testimony
- Experience working with law firms and insurance companies
- Strong analytical and field inspection skills.
