Job Description:The Office for Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) in the Division of Enrollment Management is seeking a dedicated, detail‑oriented professional to join our team as a Student Financial Aid Coordinator I. In this role, you will verify and award financial aid programs, resolve processing issues, and ensure students have timely access to the resources they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Federal Aid Processing
- Monitor Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan records exchanged with the U.S. Department of Education.
- Resolve issues when records do not process correctly.
- Maintain accurate, compliant aid records.
Awarding and Eligibility Management
- Review eligibility and update aid packages within cost‑of‑attendance and need‑based rules.
- Make manual adjustments when required to keep awards accurate.
- Assist with cancelling aid when students are no longer eligible.
Student Communication and Customer Service
- Communicate with students through UF’s Gator360 system about required documents and next steps.
- Provide clear guidance and timely updates to support on‑time disbursement, while delivering professional, student‑centered service.
- Support the Coordinator III with operational reviews as needed.
Scholarships and Private Loans
- Process scholarship checks sent to UF on behalf of students.
- Enter and manage private (alternative) loan information.
- Calculate remaining federal loan eligibility for students nearing lifetime limits.
Other Duties
- Participate in financial aid presentations, occasional travel, training, and other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:
$43,888 annually

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:- Student financial aid experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
