Development Manager (Americas Tax Technology Group) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Nashville, TN. 

 

Develop and test technology solutions created to support the Americas Tax Practice. Plan and implement EY Interact for initial U.S. deployment and subsequent expansion as a global tool. Manage the integration of tools across practices and sub-service lines. Advise and consult with departments on production software issues, concerns, problems and questions. Manage release schedules and integrity/quality for each product build or change. Act as an escalation point for application production outages, development impediments and dependencies, communicate development or resourcing roadblocks to leadership. Assess ideas brought by tax professionals to determine whether there is a commercially viable business case for use of AI or Blockchain technologies. Ensure adoption and compliance with established Reference Architecture standards and policies. Partner with Development Leads and Architects in the creation of architecture artifacts for Innovation and Emerging Technologies products, including Infrastructure Architecture Documents and Solution Design Documents. Responsible for producing technical documentation/diagrams that depict the larger ecosystem of products. Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience converting business and technical requirements into appropriate solutions. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience with Solutions Architecture, Systems design, Programming/software development, Innovation, Emerging technology monitoring, Business domain knowledge, and Usability evaluation. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience with .NET, SQL, Java and responsive web design. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience supporting peer teams such as infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture, and/or information security. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience working through all phases of the technology life-cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing. 
 
Must have 6 years of experience working in a virtual team environment with internal or external clients. 
 
Must have 1 year of experience with REST and RPC service patterns and other client/server interaction models. 
 
Must have 1 year of experience with SharePoint and Angular JS development. 
 
Must have 1 year of experience managing vendor and service providers in order to meet business goals. 
 
Must have 1 year of experience building and delivering 24x7 production software systems. 
 
Must have 1 year of experience presenting to executive-level internal stakeholders. 
 
Travel required up to 10%, to serve client needs.
