Utility Porter - Bobby's Burger - Steady Extra (Paris LV)

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning pots, pans and cooking/baking utensils. Provides general assistance to other stewarding employees as needed (and time permitting) in their duties to ensure that all cookware equipment is maintained to set standards, trash, floors, dishes, glass and silverware.  Follow all Hotel Policy and Procedures.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

• Follows all applicable safety precautions.
• Ensures that pots, pans and cooking/baking utensils are properly maintained.
• Is at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.
• Notifies Old Homestead, Head Steward of needed repair work in the kitchen  and storage area.
• Maintains their assigned kitchen area in accordance with county health department and Old Homestead standards.
• Ensures that food service supplies are properly maintained in accordance with county health
• department and Old Homestead standards.
• Ensures that kitchen is kept clean and organized at all times.
• If needed can assist in other job duties that pertain to stewarding.
• Clean all pots, pans and cooking utensils.
• Clean steam tables and banquet sterno pans.
• Clean all sauce and soup kettles.
• Polish silverware and hollowware as needed.
• Assist other stewarding employees in their duties with regard to kitchen maintenance as time permits.
• Obtain kitchen maintenance supplies needed from storage.
• Assist in the organization of kitchen maintenance supply storage areas.
• Additional related duties as requested by department management.

 

           

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Non-Gaming
• Health Card

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  

• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift approximately 30 - 35 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to perform reaching, stooping, stretching, crouching and twisting motions repeatedly.
• Ability to push approximately 300 - 350.
• Visual capabilities needed to inspect their own work upon completion
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
