The Role:
Join our global IT organization as an IT Project Manager at our site in Aurora, IL to drive a critical objective within our IT programs. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance our business operations, support product offering improvements, streamline operations, and support our worldwide workforce. This role is pivotal in advancing our internal IT capabilities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term strategic vision.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in leading cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones and ensure accountability.
Support the development and management of detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to achieve on-time, within-budget outcomes.
Help define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, aligning with Program and Portfolio goals.
Utilize predictive project management methodologies to execute detailed planning and control processes.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving blockers to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
Deliver regular status updates to stakeholders, translating technical progress into business impacts.
Drive process optimization by integrating IT solutions (e.g., cloud platforms, AI tools) with internal workflows.
Ensure compliance with global IT standards, security protocols, and data governance policies.
Operate effectively in early maturity project teams, guiding them through initial stages of project management practices.
Lead by example in project management transformation, demonstrating best practices and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.
What We Seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of project management experience in IT or related fields.
Strong understanding of predictive project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall).
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Proven track record of supporting team performance and achieving project goals.
Experience working with early maturity project teams and guiding them through project management practices.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
Experience with scaling project management practices across multiple teams or large organizations.
CAPM or PMP.
Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Miro, etc.
