The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit new Engineering Project Manager Wash Water & Binder in Visé, Belgium and reporting to the GMW Technology Manager.

As Engineering Project Manager Wash Water & Binder, you'd be conducting feasibility studies, defining project scope and budgets, and developing technical documentation, including equipment descriptions, process diagrams, and detailed designs. You'd also be overseeing and managing studies related to mechanical engineering, analyzing findings, and making informed decisions to address technical challenges and optimize project outcomes. Additionally, you'd oversee tendering, supplier selection, planning, construction, commissioning, performance testing, and budget control to ensure successful project delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage technical projects ranging from €1M to €5M, including plant-specific, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
- Oversee and manage studies related to mechanical engineering, analyze findings, and make informed decisions to address technical challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and contract strategies, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction) in a matrix organization to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Provide technical support and guidance across civil, electrical, controls, process, and drafting engineering disciplines, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
- Monitor and manage project changes, resolve issues, and negotiate with contractors/suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by auditing plant equipment, recommending process enhancements, and mentoring engineers to build team expertise.

If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
- Engineer or equivalent by experience
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical projects
- Good understanding of control systems
- Experience in food or pharmaceutical industry, tanks, vessels, pumps, dosing systems, piping, water treatment, mechanical design and assembly is a plus.
- Good knowledge of computer software tools (AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Navisworks, MS office, …)
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Willing to travel up to 30% of your time
