About the Work:
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Features/Testing) to work with engineering team to innovate computer systems and related software, including the design and development of co. systems focused on innovations to current home care systems.
Responsibilities:
- Will be involved in project planning for implementing features in our software systems.
- Will focus on all phases of software development lifecycle, incl. architecture, design, implementation, test and deployment.
- Will communicate challenges and problems proactively and work collaboratively with team members to find solutions, and review code from other engineers and make suggestions to improve performance.
- Will write and debug code, research and understand required feature and software requirements and then document and implement required software development and solutions.
- Will also perform other duties as required.
- May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
- Remote work may be permitted.
Required:
- Master of Science degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field (Will accept a bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience as equivalent)
- At least 1 year in position offered or in a software development position
- Define, design, and build new mobile features for Android, incl. mobile product development and feature definition
- Android Framework components (Activity/Fragment, SQLite, AlarmManager andJetpack compose)
- Use Hilt and/or Dagger and design patterns (MVP and MVVM) for high performant, scalable and memory efficient coding
- Build highly interactive mobile application
- Product development through end-product realization and full life cycle support
- RestFul API
- JUNIT
- Java and Kotlin
- Python syntaxes
- RoomDB
- Mentor teammates
Salary range: $183,310 to $184,500 per year

Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA and Austin, TX hubs.
