POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is not a remote worker (teleworker) position.

 

SALARY RANGE

$1,733.08 - $2,307.71 Biweekly

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

 

This position has been identified as mission essential.

The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays.

In addition, mission essential personnel will be required to work during disasters, to include but not limited to, work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.

Emergency work may involve the incumbent to work in another county or staffing location to assist other State Agencies with emergency work.

Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

 

This is a highly professional financial consulting position requiring substantial financial, administrative, and operational knowledge to support the Agency's Medicaid State and Local Administration Programs. 

The incumbent in this position performs a variety of financial plan development, financial reporting support and management duties independently and under the direct supervision of the unit manager. 

When needed, this position is expected to assist in accomplishing financial revenue management transactions and/or evaluation of financial documentation.

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time sensitive. 

The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

 

The duties and functions of this Government Operations Consultant II position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

 

Assists with the preparation of the quarterly expenditure reports, grants management and administration. 

Assists and supports the Unit's primary financial contact between the Florida State Medicaid Program and State and Federal auditors regarding Title XIX MAP Expenditure report.

 

Completes the review and calculation of Title XIX and XXI Federal draw requests for processing.

 

Completes the annual Title XIX (MAP) State Match Report. 

Collects and compiles the match data from the various state match sources. 

Reviews and responds to State Auditor inquiries concerning the State Match Reports.

 

Collects data; compiles cost analyses; prepares cover letters, invoices and supporting documents; prepares and circulates invoice packages; and mails and emails approved invoices billing Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the Department of Children and Families for recoupment of the Agency’s state share of Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FMMIS) related paid claims.
