I. Job SummaryOversees planning and execution of large and multifaceted or highly complex projects and/or programs that may span multiple Lines of Business within the Sustainability Organization. Assumes responsibility for custom software development projects, implementation of out of the box solutions, and enhancements to existing software. May work with large multi-million dollar projects or mix of inter-related Digital Sustainability projects including but not limited to: capital projects, non-capital projects, and Strategic Asset Development projects. Works in a matrixed environment and will own and lead a diverse set of technology resources for the duration of the projects. Communicates project status to Senior and Executive Technology Leadership will be ultimately responsible for project success.
II. Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
- Owns, leads and drives all project activities through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), effectively applying various project methodologies and enforcing project standards, to ensure quality and successful on-time, on-budget delivery of their project(s).
- Under direction of Senior and Executive Leadership, assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and determines and acquires resources needed
- Clearly communicates the business case to project team to assist with decision making and prioritization; keeps business case at fore-front to drive decisions.
- Serves as the primary contact between technology/business stakeholders and Senior Leadership on project status, issues and risks.
- Creates, manages, and maintains project plans and ensures effective financial forecasting and tracking.
- Interfaces with other technology and business organizations to reach agreement on scope, obtain resources and ensure proper preparedness.
- Supervises processes and procedures to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives, implementing improvements and strategies.
- Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Will coach and mentor less-experienced team members and act as team leader on more complicated systems projects.
IV. QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
Experience: Seven years of prior project management experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Functional expertise in one or more of the following required:
- Managing multiple projects, in various stages of the SDLC, at one time.
- Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology (specifically in Guide Five and Nine, Waterfall). <
