As the Technical Strategist for Chemistry within Family Care & Professional R&D you will provide technical leadership in the conception, development, validation, translation of prioritized consumer focused needs into short-, medium- and long-term technical pipelines.  In this role, you will provide a robust technical toolkit leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives of skin health, environmental stewardship, and sustainability.

You will champion the technical vision in the design, development, optimization, and commercialization of chemistries and process capabilities across the Family Care Professional machine asset base and technologies. This role will also play an important role in setting the strategic vision for technical knowledge capability building and focus

In this role, you will:

  • Provide leadership by example in corporate safety, quality, regulatory, product safety and sustainability

  • Conceive, develop, validate, translate and share consumer focused needs into short, medium and long term technical pipelines for ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.

  • Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve Family Care’s business results.

  • Support and lead Lean management practices through Lean thinking and work methods (visual management, problem solving, strategy deployment).

  • Implement strategies to protect novel technology solutions to sustain identified advantage in market. · Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark. ·

  • Prepare and implement unit budgets and schedules. Implement appropriate internal controls and standards.

  • Implement the documentation and report of unit work as required by KC policy, effective communication, protection of proprietary information, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.

  • Communicate appropriately with all customers, internal and external

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Chemistry and 10 years or more of relevant industry experience

  • Subject matter expertise in topical chemistry solutions for skin health & wellness, environmental stewardship and sustainability in manufac
