  • Lead the development, coordination, review, and technical oversight of engineering and design of contracted energy storage projects.

  • Lead the design and review of BESS, including power conversion systems (Inverters & DC/DC Converters), isolation and power transformers, medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, grounding, low and medium voltage ac and dc cable systems, and plant auxiliary equipment.

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Customers, AHJs, and others to meet the contractual commitments. Act as a technical consultant for more junior PEs.

  • Lead development of specifications, drawings and controls and protections strategies for contracted projects.

  • Develop the boundary of the BESS as the AC connections of the PCS. Develop the interface to any outside controller that will work for NERC CIP, protecting the BESS network from the SCADA network.

  • Adapt the current BMS system with SoH device & software implemented into our systems (including the "auto-rest" function). Optimize the EMS and/or EOS controller with the focus on performance optimization.  PCS and BMS should be working and tested as a single block.
