Work you’ll do

The Data Science Consultant will, as part of several client delivery teams, be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining cutting-edge AI-based systems, ensuring smooth and engaging user experiences. Additionally, they will participate in a wide variety of Natural Language Processing activities, building Machine Learning Models, AI Algorithms, code and design review.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with stakeholders to gain access and insights into key data sources needed for supporting and developing innovating products and applications for the Air Force.

• Leading the aggregation, cleansing and manipulation of data utilizing python, R, and/or excel/ power query) to provide quantitative analyses to support initiative recommendations and business cases.

• Coordinating and engaging with client leadership to brainstorm innovative ways to tell stories with data.

• Iterating current and develop new compelling visuals and dashboards, enabling leadership to make insight driven decisions about Mission Readiness Metrics across the Air Force

The GPS AI & Data Operations offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

• Active Top Secret security clearance required

• 2+ years experience in Data analysis or Data engineering

• 2+ years experience executing data science methodologies using common programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, and R.

Preferred:

• Comfortable with daily interactions with senior leaders in a military setting

• Mathematics and Statistics Background

• Data mining and analysis experience with R, Python and/or Power Query

• Data visualization experience with Tableau, Qlik or PowerBi

• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry (or Palantir’s Envision Platform)
