Job Description:
As a Healthcare Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge health assistance and essential administrative tasks. You’ll work closely with a team of specialized health assistants, verifying insurance coverage, booking appointments, and coordinating care plans. Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage by liaising with insurance companies
- Schedule appointments with healthcare providers, optimizing for patient needs and provider availability
- Support care plan coordination developed by health assistants
- Manage internal communication channels for efficient task delegation and updates
- Interface with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other partners
- Handle various administrative tasks in a fast-paced startup environment
- Attend internal meetings and provide administrative support to the core team
- Adapt to new systems and processes as the company grows and evolves
Requirements
- Experience in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Intercom
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Adaptability and quick learning capabilities for new systems and processes
- Experience in startups or agile work environments is a plus
- Passion for healthcare and improving patient experiences
- Comfortable with remote work and flexible hours
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
