Position Summary
The Claims Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processing of insurance claims, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence, supporting adjuster licensing compliance, and contributing to training initiatives across the claims function.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the claims processing team to ensure timely and accurate handling of all incoming claims for federal crop insurance and private crop insurance programs, ensuring complete audit trail in policyholder administration system
Review and audit claims documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, following provisions of standard reinsurance agreement and supplemental guidance on loss adjustment in the federal crop insurance program
Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in claims submissions and workflows
Ensure adequate internal control policies and procedures over the claims process
Aid compliance functions such claim updates and error tracking as needed
Support training function by developing and potentially delivering training curriculum
Ensure team proficiency and licensure in conjunction with licensing function
Liase with other departments within the company, such as underwriting, compliance and accounting to ensure a coordinated approach to claims management
Stay up to date with changes in crop insurance regulations and industry best practices, participating in ongoing professional development activities

Work Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of progressive experience working with crop insurance claims
2+ years of experience supervising crop insurance claim procedures
Licenses & Certifications
2+ years of experience supervising crop insurance claim procedures
