ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Onboarding with the same basic workflows used for any new engineer on the team
• Working closely with a supervising engineer or analyst to complete core tasks for that discipline
• Handling real operational duties (with as much support as needed from the team) such as responding to infrastructure alerts, update dependencies, reviewing security notifications, and sourcing data for analytics projects
• Selecting and completing a flagship project for your internship, with the intent to achieve real impact and have code in production long after the internship ends
• Marketing your project(s) internally by presenting to technical leadership
• Engaging in guided learning by prototyping new approaches and researching specific topics for the team

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent attention to detail 
  
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Prior experience programming with any modern language, ideally in a team context.
  

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age and currently or recently enrolled in a college program.
  
• Pursuing a degree in a technical discipline, ideally computer science adjacent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  
• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment
