Controllers- Jersey City - Vice President, Product Controllers - 7780044

Job Duties: Vice President, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, New Jersey. Report daily P&L (profit & loss) and balance sheet for Prime Services business. Perform on-going price verification procedures to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory. Prepare and analyze drivers for Quarterly Earnings Release and filings. Interact with Product Controllers, Trading Desks, Divisional Management and Franchise Managers to analyze current and historical business trends to establish future business strategy. Liaise cross-divisionally on key firmwide initiatives impacting funding activities. Respond to ad-hoc questions and analysis as they pertain to balance sheet and P&L of Prime Services activity. Work with Engineering teams to automate and enhance P&L reporting process.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.  Employer will accept bachelor's degree equivalent based on single degree, combination of degrees, or combination of degree(s) and/or diplomas and/or certification(s) / membership(s) / professional credentials, determined to be equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include four (4) years with: working on secured borrowings and collateral leveraging accounting knowledge; working with technology teams to develop and enhance systems and using self-services tools to automate processes; coordinating with global teams and presenting to senior management on the valuation and financial statement impact of new business activities; navigating potentially contentious conversations regarding valuations with front office; and working on Financial Reporting, including preparing and explaining components of the annual report, 10Q or 10k to controllers management.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey -based position is $127,000/year- $270,000/year.
