Job Overview
We are currently looking for an Associate Human Resources Business Partner to join our team onsite in Big Rapids, MI.
As an Associate Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
Work closely with experienced Human Resources Business Partner(s), supports internal customer group, functioning as both business partner and member advocate between management and members to interpret, administer, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives. Works with management to ensure fair and consistent compliance with corporate policies, practices, and objectives and advocates for members.
Do you have these required qualifications?
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, human resources management, or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate degree plus 2 years of related experience or,
- High school diploma plus 4 years of related experience.
In addition:
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Experience with conducting workplace investigations and resolving workplace issues (problem resolution).
- Experience reviewing and/or evaluating people for selection and/or programs for appropriateness.
- Experience as a Human Resources generalist, specialist, or equivalent
- Experience in employee relations.
- HR manufacturing experience.
- SHRM certification.
Essential Functions
- Establishes trust and influence with assigned customer groups by understanding their specific business drivers and concerns, providing support through Member Relations products and services.
- Upholds ethical standards and Haworth’s values while sharing valuable information and serving as the primary HR contact for general questions and concerns.
- Learns to counsel and advise managers and members on employment issues, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, ensuring legal liabilities are assessed.
- Develops change agent skills by supporting cultural change initiatives, training members and management, and implementing practices to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assists with conflict resolution, investigates member concerns and complaints, and prepares remedial action documents related to attendance, safety, and performance issues.
- Advises management on HR processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with employment and labor laws, and assists with orientation and onboarding processes.
- Conducts administrative tasks with accuracy, supports various communication efforts, conducts exit interviews, and tracks turnover metrics to drive improvements in policies, processes, and culture.
- Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
- Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
