Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Senior Controller Finance & Tax in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Senior Controller Finance & Tax you will be safeguarding tax compliance, forecasting and reporting for Scatec ASA and its NOKUS entities and providing technical support on Norwegian tax and VAT matters as well as  providing support to- and execute financial controlling over a portfolio of subsidiaries to ensure quality in financial reporting.

 

Main responsibilities 

• Tax forecasting and technical completion of annual tax returns of Scatec ASA and the NOKUS-entities of the group
• Provide technical support/advice and assistance on Norwegian tax and VAT related matters to subsidiaries
• Manage tax audits and tax controversy matters in your geographic area and respond to questions from the tax authorities. Liaise with external tax advisors as required for complex issues
• Monthly consolidation and review of the financial reporting of tax in the group and preparation on tax-disclosure notes in the group’s financial reports
• Perform quality assurance and consolidation of financial reporting a portfolio of subsidiaries, including the parent company Scatca ASA. This includes supporting and ensuring progress on various business, accounting and reporting issues as they emerge in the subsidiaries.
• Participate and play an active role in the consolidation process and contribute to developing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to Management, Board of Directors and the Oslo Stock Exchange.
• Keep up to date on Norwegian legislation for taxes and VAT and assess measures to optimize ongoing operations      

 

Qualifications and competencies 

• Masters degree in Accounting or Finance with solid academic results
• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience within the areas of finance, accounting, auditing and tax. Experience from Big Four audit firms is preferred
• Experience from working with financial reporting under IFRS. Experience with accounting standards for tax including IAS 12 and IFRS 10 is a plus
• In depth experience with Norwegian tax regulations and reporting. Experience with NOKUS-reporting is a plus
